An events calendar can be seen in the Office at the yard, or on the Events calendar. Please enquire with a member of staff or call Cottagers Plot Equestrian Centre for more details.
Why not celebrate with your friends both two and four-legged! We offer a range of pony parties to suit everybody's individual needs. These can range from small groups to approximately 25 children. After the pony fun we have a party room to allow the celebrations to continue!
A real favourite for all! A fun filled five days for children of all ages and abilities. Arriving on the Monday morning and staying over until Friday afternoon, kids are kept busy with lots of horsey activities such as grooming, plaiting, feeding, mucking out, care of tack etc, quizes, and treasure hunts, and some non horsey games such as rounders in the menage! Each day the teams are set tasks and rewarded points, riding is geared around a show which takes place on the Friday, and the winning team takes the summer camp honours! A variety of riding is included and usually involves work in the school, hacking out and jumping. Sleeping over is optional but is also a lot of fun!
Own a Pony Day
An old favourite, always popular with the younger children. The day consists of everything involved when "owning" your own pony. This includes mucking out, grooming, tacking up, having a lesson in the school, and a hack out, feeding and caring for your chosen pony.
A chance for everybody to use their skills they have learnt in the school and have lots of fun! This activity involves a long hack around the local countryside for the more advanced rider, who must be capable of walking, trotting and cantering un - assisted. This is available on either a schooling pony or on your own horse.
Take a hack on one of our schooling ponies to Bradley Woods where you will then stop for lunch together before heading back to the yard. Lots of fun and a great social time!
Show Jumping Afternoon
A chance for everybody to brush up on their jumping styles before the Summer Show. Groups are catered for according to the ability of riders with new ideas and exercises, taught by Sophie. Show jumping afternoons run on Wednesdays at 5pm throughout the summer holidays. Please note that this activity takes place with small groups with limited spaces, so book early to avoid disappointment.
Dressage and Show jumping Competitions
Numerous shows held at the centre suitable for riders at every level. Keep a lookout for schedules on the website and facebook page.
A firm favourite for all is the Beach Ride. This is available to all Cottagers Plot clientele by either hiring a school pony or riding your own horse. The beach ride has limited places.
Please note all activities are not limited to the school holidays and can be booked any time of year. Please contact the yard for more information.
